Looking for an Australian employer to sponsor you? Put your profile in front of them.

Register once, at no cost. A registered migration agent reviews your registration, and your anonymised profile is then displayed on our website under a reference number. It shows your occupation, experience, qualification, skills assessment status, age range, English test and result, country of passport, current location and visa status, and no name or contact details. If an employer is interested, we ask you first before anything else is shared.

What registering does, and does not, mean

  • It is freeYou will never be asked to pay for an introduction, a job offer or a sponsorship.
  • Your identity stays privateThe public and employers see a reference number, not your name, photo or contact details.
  • You are asked firstYour CV is shared only after you say yes to a specific employer.
  • It is not a job offer or a visaNo employer sponsorship or visa outcome can be guaranteed by anyone.
How it works

Five steps, and you are in control at every one

01

Register and upload your CV

Tell us your occupation, experience, qualifications, English level, current location and visa status.

02

We review your registration

We check that your occupation can be sponsored and that the details on your profile are accurate. If something is missing, we will tell you.

03

Your anonymised profile is displayed

We display your profile under a reference number, showing your occupation, experience, qualification, skills assessment status, age range, English test and result, country of passport, current location and visa status. Nothing that identifies you.

04

An employer is interested

We contact you, tell you who the employer is and what the position involves, and ask whether you want to be introduced. Your name, CV and contact details are shared with that employer only if you agree, by signing our Engagement and Consent Letter at that time.

05. You and the employer decide. If an offer is made and the employer wishes to sponsor you, the visa work is done under a written agreement that explains the fees before anything starts. You are free to use any registered migration agent or lawyer you choose.

Who should register

Who this register is for

Register if you hold a skilled trade, technical or professional qualification, or relevant work experience, and you are looking for an Australian employer to sponsor you. You can be in Australia on a student, graduate, working holiday or other visa, or still overseas.

Tell us your occupationEnter it in the registration form and we will tell you what is possible
Check the official listsMost employer sponsored occupations sit on the Core Skills Occupation List, published by the Department of Home Affairs. Open the list (PDF) or search the lists online.
Not on that list? Each Designated Area Migration Agreement covers a defined region and has its own occupation list, often broader than the national lists. See the 13 DAMA regions, find the region you would work in, then open that region's representative to check their current occupation list.
Not sure?Ask us before you register. We will give you an honest answer about whether it is worth your time
Never pay anyone for sponsorship

Asking for or receiving payment in return for sponsorship is an offence in Australia for the person who asks and the person who pays, and can affect your future visa applications. Migration Star will never ask you to pay for an introduction or a job offer. If someone does, tell us.

If you are overseas, be aware that most sponsored positions require you to be interviewed and to have your skills and English verified before an employer will commit.

Candidate registration

Fields marked * are required. Registration is free.

By registering you ask Migration Star to display an anonymised profile of you on our website, where it can be seen by the public, including employers looking to sponsor skilled workers. The profile shows a reference number and these details: your occupation, years of relevant experience, qualification, skills assessment status, age range, English test and result, country of passport, current location and visa status. It does not show your name, contact details, CV or the name of any employer. A registered migration agent reviews your profile before it is displayed. Because the profile is public, others may copy it, for example search engines, and we cannot recall copies if you later withdraw. You consent to being contacted by email, phone, SMS and WhatsApp about your registration. Your name, CV and contact details are shared with an employer only when that employer picks your profile and you agree, by signing our Engagement and Consent Letter at that time. Registration is free, is not a job offer or a visa application, and no sponsorship or visa outcome is guaranteed. Migration Star is a registered migration agency, not a recruitment agency. You can withdraw at any time by emailing info@migrationstar.com.au from the address you registered with. Your information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Important

What Migration Star is, and is not

Migration Star is a registered migration agency. We are not a recruitment agency, a labour hire provider or an employment agent. We do not employ you, supply you to an employer, or pay you for work. Any employment is directly between you and the employer.

Migration Star charges no fee for finding you an employer. Registration is free. We do not charge you to register, to be screened, to be shortlisted, to be introduced to an employer, or to attend an interview. No fee of any kind is payable to us for an introduction.

Under Australian law, an employer who sponsors you must pay the costs of becoming a sponsor, of nominating you, and of recruiting you. Those costs cannot be passed on to you.

No one can guarantee that an employer will be interested, that a nomination will be approved, or that a visa will be granted. Registering is not a job offer and is not a visa application.

Candidate questions

Before you register

Does it cost anything?
No. Registration and introductions are free. You will never be asked to pay Migration Star, or anyone else, for a job offer or for sponsorship. If an employer offers to sponsor you and you choose to engage us for your visa, our professional fees are agreed in writing before any work starts.
Will employers see my name or contact details?
No. The public and employers see a reference number and your occupation, experience, qualification, skills assessment status, age range, English test and result, country of passport, current location and visa status. Your name, CV and contact details are shared with an employer only when that employer picks your profile and you agree, by signing our Engagement and Consent Letter at that time.
Is this a job offer?
No. Registering means we can put your anonymised profile in front of employers. Whether an employer contacts you depends on their needs. We cannot promise that an employer will be interested or that a visa will be granted.
I am overseas. Can I still register?
Yes. Some employers will consider overseas candidates, particularly for regional positions. Be ready for a video interview and for your qualifications and English to be checked.
Can I remove my profile?
Yes, at any time. Email info@migrationstar.com.au from the address you registered with and we will remove your profile from our website.
Someone offered me sponsorship if I pay them. What should I do?
Do not pay. Asking for or receiving payment in return for sponsorship is an offence in Australia for both the person who asks and the person who pays, and can affect your future visa applications. Contact us if you want to talk it through.
