Your anonymised profile is ready to share

We present your occupation, experience, country, location and visa status to employers looking to sponsor, under a reference number. Nothing that identifies you.

An employer is interested

We contact you, tell you who the employer is and what the position involves, and ask whether you want to be introduced. Only with your yes do we share your CV.

05. You and the employer decide. If an offer is made and the employer wishes to sponsor you, the visa work is done under a written agreement that explains the fees before anything starts. You are free to use any registered migration agent or lawyer you choose.

Never pay anyone for sponsorship

Asking for or receiving payment in return for sponsorship is an offence in Australia for the person who asks and the person who pays, and can affect your future visa applications. Migration Star will never ask you to pay for an introduction or a job offer. If someone does, tell us.

If you are overseas, be aware that most sponsored positions require you to be interviewed and to have your skills and English verified before an employer will commit.

What Migration Star is, and is not

Migration Star is a registered migration agency. We are not a recruitment agency, a labour hire provider or an employment agent. We do not employ you, supply you to an employer, or pay you for work. Any employment is directly between you and the employer.

Migration Star charges no fee for finding you an employer. Registration is free. We do not charge you to register, to be screened, to be shortlisted, to be introduced to an employer, or to attend an interview. No fee of any kind is payable to us for an introduction.

Under Australian law, an employer who sponsors you must pay the costs of becoming a sponsor, of nominating you, and of recruiting you. Those costs cannot be passed on to you.

No one can guarantee that an employer will be interested, that a nomination will be approved, or that a visa will be granted. Registering is not a job offer and is not a visa application.

Candidate questions

Before you register

Does it cost anything?

No. Registration and introductions are free. You will never be asked to pay Migration Star, or anyone else, for a job offer or for sponsorship. If an employer offers to sponsor you and you choose to engage us for your visa, our professional fees are agreed in writing before any work starts.

Will employers see my name or contact details?

No. Employers see a reference number and your occupation, experience, country, location and visa status. Your name, CV and contact details are shared only with an employer you have agreed to be introduced to.

Is this a job offer?

No. Registering means we can put your anonymised profile in front of employers. Whether an employer contacts you depends on their needs. We cannot promise that an employer will be interested or that a visa will be granted.

I am overseas. Can I still register?

Yes. Some employers will consider overseas candidates, particularly for regional positions. Be ready for a video interview and for your qualifications and English to be checked.

Can I remove my profile?

Yes, at any time. Email info@migrationstar.com.au from the address you registered with and we will remove your profile within two business days.

Someone offered me sponsorship if I pay them. What should I do?

Do not pay. Asking for or receiving payment in return for sponsorship is an offence in Australia for both the person who asks and the person who pays, and can affect your future visa applications. Contact us if you want to talk it through.
